The Prophetic Life Self-Assessment

Lesson Two of The Prophetic Life Workbook

“Search me, O God, and know my heart. Try me and know my thoughts. And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”

Psalm 139:23–24

A personal evaluation to discern your readiness to hear, see, and speak the heart of God. Every believer can hear the voice of God, and every believer can prophesy. Some see in the Spirit. Some sense the burden of the Lord. Others speak with clarity and boldness. This assessment will help you discern how God is shaping you, what gifts are developing, and where the Holy Spirit is inviting you to grow.

The Prophetic Assessment is a discipleship tool designed to help you recognize areas of spiritual gifting, sensitivity, and growth. It is not intended to assign spiritual titles or replace biblical discernment, prayer, Scripture, or spiritual leadership.

“Do not despise prophecies, but test everything; hold fast what is good.”

I receive insight, pictures, or impressions when I pray for others.

I feel a burden in my spirit when God is revealing something.

“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”

I test every revelation against Scripture before speaking.

13

I wait for God's timing before releasing a prophetic word.

14

I seek wise counsel and accountability regarding revelation.

I am bold to obey when the Holy Spirit leads me to share a word.

19

I trust God, not my own ability, when I release prophetic insight.

I consistently use prophecy to strengthen others, not expose or shame.

Prayer of Surrender and Alignment

Heavenly Father, I invite You to search my heart and lead me in Your ways. Thank You for speaking, guiding, and drawing me closer to You. Where I am strong, keep me humble. Where I am growing, give me grace and patience. Where You are calling me higher, give me the courage to obey. I surrender my voice, my hearing, and my heart fully to You. Teach me to listen well, discern clearly, and speak with love. Let my life reflect Your heart and bring glory to Jesus. In Jesus' name, amen.
